There are so many standouts from Brooklyn Fashion Week! The looks ranged from conservative to crazy…we like crazy! This chick was turnin’ heads with her tutu skirt and bustier, lookin’ like a fresh and funky Cinderella! The Keds-look-a-likes are a simple throwback and really amp up her style. And you already KNOW we love the faux-hawk. They think she looks crazy, we know she looks COOL. -sP
We caught up with this model backstage at Brooklyn Fashion Week in NYC. She’s a 10, from the long legs that fit into the well-cut short shorts and lead into her dope and sexy heels. The white shirt she’s wearing is a perfect fit and accents her deep brown skin…mmm. Oh, and the afro? It’s too damn fly…fine, she’s an 11! -sP
We came across these new Adidas kicks by Jeremy Scott and had to bring ‘em to ya. Take a second, catch your breath. Damn, talk about FLY! -sP

We’re so damn tired of the same videos: a little booty, an iced-out chain and a hummer. That is some played out ish, and as you know, we’re all about freshnessss. Leave it up to “Crazy” Gnarls Barkley to step up their game and come out with a short film disguised as a music video with, “Who’s Gonna Save My Soul”. There’s not much fashion-like style here, but there’s artistic expression…and that’s just as fly. Check it and change your mindsets about what’s dope. Love Hurts. -sP

We love the alternate universe where Ms. Badu lives, breathes, creates and INSPIRES. She makes music that’s funky and memorable, not to mention she says whatever comes to her cranium (Danger, Tyrone, etc). RESPECT. But most of all, Badu’s got SWAG for days. Check the above shot from a recent King Magazine photoshoot, where Badu looks like a multi-colored popsicle that we wouldn’t mind licking! (Is that OK?) The finger-rings remind us of the Funky Fly Crew we shot a little while ago, and the hats make Dr. Seuss look like a trendsetter. Damn, Badu is BAD! -sP
Sometimes we catch dope people in the moment, no poses, just serious swag. The glasses and the necklace on the girl above make her cooler than cool by giving her the classy 80s look that we love. We just can’t stop staring. -sP
